Raw chocolates

Raw cacao is extremely high in antioxidants (40 times more than blueberries), and is a good source of iron, magnesium, and calcium.

Cacao is also a natural mood elevator and antidepressant as it is a good source of the amino acid, tryptophan, and serotonin, the neurotransmitter that helps us to feel happy.


1 cup organic cacao butter

3 tbsp maple syrup

½ cup cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

pinch of sea salt


Decorations: (optional)

Cacao nibs

Goji berries

Chopped roasted nuts

Dried raspberries

Bee pollen


Create a double boiler by putting 2 inches water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and then set a medium sized mixing bowl on top, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water. Add the cacao butter and allow it to melt. Next add the maple syrup and whisk together well. Add the cacao powder, vanilla essence, and salt, and whisk until smooth. Transfer the chocolate mix to a small jug and pour into mini cupcake holders, placed on a tray. Transfer to fridge or freezer until set. Enjoy!
